Throughout his 20-year career, David Beckham has become a style icon for the Predator range. Even after retiring, he wanted to bring a boot that would be his own. “We’re always looking to innovate in the world of football, and what better way to do so than with one of our iconic boot partners,” says Sam Handy, adidas’ Vice President of Product and Design.

adidas decided to give creative control to David Beckham, as his name has made a mark on the Predator 24. After two years of development, Beckham and adidas introduced the Predator 24 – a modern boot with a classic twist. For the first time, the Predator boot features the classic adidas trefoil logo, embroidered on the Fusionskin tongue.

To celebrate Beckham’s strong connection with the Predator brand, adidas gave him full creative control, allowing him to bring his vision to life through the adidas lens.

Two years in the making, Beckham and adidas have unveiled the Predator 24, a modern take on the classic Predator design. During the design process, the former player made several notable upgrades, including the first-ever integration of adidas’ iconic trefoil logo on a Predator boot. Beckham said that having the logo on the boot was a breakthrough.

The adidas trefoil appears on many details of the Predator 24 – from the outsole, the laces to the iconic adidas three stripes. Notably, the logo is embroidered prominently on the Predator’s signature fold-over tongue, which is made from premium Fusionskin leather instead of the usual rubber.

Players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Paulo Dybala, Rodrigo De Paul and Alessia Russo will be wearing the boot in the coming weeks. The accompanying fashion collection focuses on the adidas trefoil logo, with a 1970s style reminiscent of legendary designer Wales Bonner’s signature look – a fitting tribute considering the impressive collections between Wales Bonner and adidas over the years.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the sdidas Predator, and the brand has released classic-inspired designs and limited editions. But the highlight is the Beckham-starred Predator 24.
