Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is drawing renewed interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, particularly Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah.
According to Sportskeeda Football on X: “Reports suggest Casemiro could join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr! 😲 If this move happens, how formidable would Al Nassr become? 🤔 #CristianoRonaldo #Casemiro #Football https://t.co/CSZxdQbrLM”
Last summer, Al-Ittihad expressed interest in the 32-year-old, but many Saudi clubs have their full quota of foreign players and will need to make sales before bringing in new talent this month.
Casemiro is attracting interest from Saudi clubs, and Manchester United is open to selling him.
United is willing to let Casemiro go, one of the club’s highest earners. He joined from Real Madrid in 2022 for £60 million and currently earns £350,000 per week, with his contract expiring at the end of next season. After a stellar debut season with the Red Devils, Casemiro has struggled to replicate the form that earned him five Champions League titles at Madrid.
His playing time has diminished since Ruben Amorim’s arrival.
Since Amorim’s appointment, Casemiro has found himself increasingly on the bench, fueling speculation about a potential move away from the club. United is also looking to offload Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof, among others.
In light of recent performances, Gary Neville weighed in on the possibility of Casemiro and Eriksen starting together in midfield following the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. He expressed skepticism, stating, “No, no. They may have to if there are lots of injuries. We’ve all been there as footballers in our 30s, and the last thing you want next to you is another player in their 30s.”
Neville emphasized that both players require teammates who can compensate for their energy levels, suggesting they cannot effectively operate as a central midfield duo without leaving significant gaps.
Additionally, Manchester United is considering Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and Nuno Mendes from PSG as potential targets, contingent upon raising funds during the current transfer window.
