WANTAWAY Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was seen smiling as he enjoyed lunch with a friend.
The England forward was spotted dining at the upscale Cibo Restaurant in Hale Village just a day after sitting on the bench during his team’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
Rashford was all smiles as he dined out, accompanied by teammate Tyrell Malacia. He was an unused substitute in the previous night’s defeat to Newcastle, while Malacia also remained on the bench at Old Trafford.
Rashford was added back to Ruben Amorim’s match-day squad for the first time in five games after being omitted for the 2-1 derby victory against Manchester City. However, he did not play, even as United suffered their sixth defeat in 11 games under Amorim, marking their fourth consecutive loss ahead of upcoming matches against Liverpool and Arsenal.
He stated: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave, it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You won’t hear any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s just who I am.”
Rashford had not made the previous four matchday squads, and his future remains uncertain following his comments about a potential transfer exit.
