2024 has turned out to be an incredibly special year for LeBron James, and it’s only getting better. The NBA legend has achieved almost everything in basketball, but this season brought him a dream he has talked about for years – playing alongside his son, Bronny James, in the NBA.

Bronny, 20, was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 55th pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. While he is mostly playing for the Lakers’ G League team, the South Bay Lakers, he is still part of the Lakers roster. This season, Bronny stepped onto the basketball court with his father and into the history books as the first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game.

On LeBron’s 40th birthday, the Lakers made it a special moment for the NBA legend. In a heartfelt gesture, Bronny, along with the other Lakers rookies, gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” to the Lakers superstar.

The Lakers shared the incredible moment on social media, where Bronny was joined by Quincy Olivari, Dalton Knecht and Armel Traore for a birthday song for the 4-time MVP.

LeBron, now 40, is the oldest active player in the NBA and is still going strong. He is averaging 23.5 points, 9.0 assists, and 7.9 rebounds per game this season.
