Mason Mount ‘granted go okay to install golf simulator’ at £4 million Cheshire property, despite the injured Man Utd star living NEXT DOOR to a premium course

Manchester United and England star Mason Mount has received permission to build a golf simulator at his £4 million mansion in Cheshire, according to reports.

Mount, an avid golfer, initially faced challenges with his proposal due to concerns over five nearby trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). However, he has since submitted a revised plan, which has now been approved.

The new plans will relocate the golf simulator extension, a six-room build that includes a gym, study, sauna, and changing room, 6 feet away from the protected trees. It will also use specially engineered foundations to protect the roots.

Since no neighbors objected to the updated proposal, council officials granted Mount planning permission. A planning officer commented, “The proposed extension is considered to appear well related to the existing property.”

Mount’s lavish mansion, built just two years ago, already features an indoor swimming pool, five bathrooms, and two cinemas, and is located next to one of Cheshire’s premier golf courses. He is believed to live near fellow England international Jordan Pickford, Everton defender Michael Keane, and Manchester United teammate Tom Heaton.

Despite his success off the pitch, Mount has faced a frustrating start to his career at Manchester United, struggling with injuries since his £55 million move from Chelsea in 2023. He has started just three Premier League games this season and has yet to contribute a goal.

Recently, Mount provided an update to fans about his latest injury setback, which occurred early in United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City. “Words can’t portray how devastated I’m feeling right now,” he wrote on Instagram. “I knew what it meant. United fans, you may not know me well yet, but I can guarantee I will never give up or lose faith.”\

Amid these challenges, manager Ruben Amorim continues to believe in Mount’s potential, describing him as a “proper footballer.”
