It was a pleasure to learn about their dedication, and I’m grateful to have spent time with them while playing a small part in delivering such vital support.”

Jahan Hussain, a trustee at Lifeshare, thanked Dalot for his visit, highlighting the charity’s struggles over the past year, including threats of closure during its 40th anniversary. “Support like this is literally life-saving,” he noted. “Not long ago, we didn’t know if our much-needed Christmas Project would go ahead, so having a high-profile visit like this is amazing.”

Lifeshare’s annual Christmas Project, running from December 18 to December 22, opens its doors daily from 7 AM to 7 PM to anyone in need of shelter, food, and companionship—no questions asked. Guests benefit from not only hot meals but also hot showers and access to clean, dry clothing.

In addition to food services, the charity coordinates various support activities, including haircuts, pet care, and eye health services, ensuring comprehensive care for those they serve. Dalot’s involvement underscores the importance of community support and the positive impact that individual efforts can have in addressing homelessness in Manchester.

Through his actions, Dalot not only provided essential assistance but also raised awareness of the challenges faced by the homeless community, inspiring others to contribute to such vital causes.
