Real Madrid Players Pay Tribute to Jesus Navas with Honor Guard as He Ends His Career

Players of Real Madrid paid a heartfelt tribute to Jesus Navas by forming an honor guard before the match against Sevilla. This encounter marks the 18th round of La Liga, and for the 39-year-old Navas, it will be the last match of his illustrious career, as he started the game on the bench.

Prior to kick-off, the Real Madrid squad formed a guard of honor for Navas. The team’s captain, Luka Modric, presented Jesus with a signed Real Madrid jersey featuring the autographs of all the first-team players. The Sevilla defender was visibly emotional as fans at the Santiago Bernabeu greeted him with roaring applause.

It is worth noting that Jesus Navas represented Sevilla from 2003 to 2013 and then again from 2017. During his time with the Andalusian club, he won the Copa del Rey twice, lifted the UEFA Europa League four times, and claimed the Supercup of Spain and the UEFA Super Cup once each.
