There might be a lot of criticism of LeBron James’ performance this year. However, one thing is for certain: King James is a legend. Last night, the Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings 113-100. James helped his team reach its goal by scoring 19 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Now, while this was already a cheering aspect for the 40-year-old, things just got better.
After the 34 minutes played in his recent game, the 4x NBA MVP surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most minutes played in the NBA regular season. Overtaking Abdul-Jabbar’s 57,446 minutes, James now stands at 57,471. But that’s not all. James also had a hilarious moment when he held up a sign to describe how long he had been playing the game.
“1 Billion mins. Last night became the NBA All-Time Leader in Minutes! Crazy to even think about! Very thankful and blessed! Been a helluva ride. 1 million minutes Wilt style!” James captioned his Instagram post while holding up a sign that read, “1 Billion mins.”
Interestingly, the four-time NBA champion recreated Wilt Chamberlain’s iconic style from his 100-point game. Meanwhile, after boasting about his recent success, social media went crazy as fans flocked to the comments section.
