The feuding duo clashed at the end of their comeback Europa League triumph.

Hojlund, 21, who came on as a substitute, was the hero of the match but was visibly frustrated, claiming Amad denied him a chance for a first club hat-trick by not passing to him when he was open in injury time.

Amad, in turn, was upset that Hojlund had done the same moments earlier.

But Amorim remarked: “It’s a positive and healthy situation, perfect. Right now, we need to feel something; if we need to challenge each other, it’s like family. For me, it’s a very, very good sign.

“When you care, you fight with your brother, or your father, or your mother.

“It’s completely normal, so I’ll let the players and captain handle it.

“If it escalates, I’ll step into the dressing room. But it’s their space; they need to communicate and even argue—it’s crucial.

“I’m glad we won and still had that competitive spirit; that’s a great sign.

Andre Onana – 4

A shaky start for Onana, who injured Casemiro and struggled with the host’s crosses.

His poor pass led to Plzen’s opening goal, leaving defenders with no chance to recover.

Diogo Dalot – 6

Dalot made some good forward runs to support the attack.

Defensively sound, he was rarely caught out.

Noussair Mazraoui – 6

Mazraoui played centrally, using his speed to aid the defense.

Matthijs de Ligt – 6

He was let down by Onana’s pass leading to the first goal but performed well throughout the match.

Lisandro Martinez – 6

Available for attacks but struggled against the physicality of Plzen’s forwards.

Tyrell Malacia – 6

He contributed little offensively in the wing-back role, struggling to link with Marcus Rashford.

Casemiro – 6

Moved the ball forward when possible, recovering from an early setback caused by Onana.

Bruno Fernandes – 7

He was lucky to escape an early yellow card, stinging the keeper’s gloves with a solid effort.

His quick thinking allowed Rasmus Hojlund to score the late winner.

Amad Diallo – 8

Diallo was a standout performer in United’s attack against Plzen.

His run led to the equalizer, showcasing his pace and skill to evade defenders.

Marcus Rashford – 4

Rashford was often careless on the ball, losing possession in the attacking third.

He received the first booking of the match for a needless foul and was fortunate not to be dismissed in the second half before being substituted by Ruben Amorim.

Joshua Zirkzee – 6

He effectively took on the center-forward role, holding up the ball and linking play adequately.

Subs

Rasmus Hojlund 55′ – 8

Hojlund displayed his striker’s instincts, being in the right place to equalize for Man United.

He then utilized Fernandes’ clever pass to net the winner.

Antony 60′ – 6

He contributed to the equalizer by combining well with Diallo.

Mason Mount 60′ – 7

Made a positive impact after entering the fray and was unlucky not to score, being denied twice by the goalkeeper.

Alejandro Garnacho 80′ – N/A

Failed to make a notable impact during his brief appearance.

Manuel Ugarte 80′ – N/A

He joined the midfield to replace Casemiro late in the game.

The striker said: “I’ve watched Bruno do that before. I recall a goal with Anthony Martial when he chipped it to him.

“I believed I had a good chance to score because I’m strong; I could push the defender, spin, and finish.

“We didn’t play directly enough in the first half. We needed to play over and behind them since there was space to exploit. Especially with the muddy pitch, winning second balls could lead to opportunities.”

Regarding progress under Amorim, Hojlund added: “It’s early days. I know it sounds strange, but we don’t get enough training time, so we need to improve during matches. But things are getting better.”
