Manchester United defenders Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez have returned to training as the Reds prepare for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match against Bodo/Glimt.
It is a good boost for new head coach Ruben Amorim, as both players were spotted on the Carrington pitches with their teammates during the first portion of Wednesday morning’s exercise in front of the assembled media.
It remains to be seen whether Maguire and Martinez, who have recently been out due to injury, will be fit to play in Thursday’s European match at Old Trafford, but their return is a promising sign as we await additional information on their status.
Amorim may reveal the newest information during his pre-match press conference, which will be broadcast live on MUTV, ManUtd.com, and the United app beginning at 13:00 GMT today.
Maguire has been out since early October after sustaining a muscular injury in our 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Martinez, meanwhile, was left out of Argentina’s recent international break and missed Sunday’s match at Portman Road, when United drew 1-1 with Ipswich.
Luke Shaw and Mason Mount were both present at Wednesday’s workout, having returned from injury as substitutes over the weekend.
Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia also took part, as they aim to return to the pitch after being included to the matchday squad at Ipswich.
Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, and Leny Yoro were not visible on the turf during the media-access section.
