Another assist for the Portuguese magnifico.
Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s captain, found himself assisting an ill passenger on an EasyJet flight as he flew away for international duty.
The incident occurred yesterday, while Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot were flying from Manchester to Lisbon for the Portuguese national team training camp.
Fernandes was on his way to the restroom when he observed a man who appeared to be passing out in the back of the plane.
According to passenger Susanna Lawson, who talked with Business Cloud, the United midfielder urgently called for aid when he saw the person in difficulty.
He exclaimed, “Excuse me! We need help! Excuse me! We need help!
Lawson stated, “(We) immediately heard a scream for assistance, and everybody within hearing distance looked back, including us because we were in the back.
“Crew members ran to the back to aid. Bruno assisted the gentleman in settling into a spare seat in the back.
Bruno then sat with the passenger for a while to ensure he was all right.
“It was maybe 5-10 minutes before he returned to his seat, but he was extremely unassuming. He wasn’t aiming for any spotlight for himself,” Lawson explained.
The two Portuguese Red Devils were claimed to have kept a low profile when they took off on an ordinary EasyJet flight.
On Friday, the pair will face Poland in the Nations League.
Lawson even requested a selfie after the flight had arrived.
“When I respectfully asked him for a selfie as we were departing the airport, he was quite nice and even snapped the selfie personally.
“I complimented him on looking after the unwell traveler. If you didn’t know who he was, you’d have assumed he was just another traveler.”
Bruno has been in excellent form recently, making his 250th appearance for Manchester United against Leicester on Sunday, scoring and providing an assist.
The United captain has four goals and two assists in his last four games, totaling three assists.
