Alejandro Garnacho believes some Manchester United fans have lost faith in him, which is why he refused to celebrate his most recent strike, according to captain Bruno Fernandes.
Garnacho had a heated argument with a supporter prior to the midweek Europa League game against PAOK, during which the Argentine was told he does not pass to teammates enough.
Garnacho has had an up-and-down season so far, missing a number of great chances in the Premier League and losing his position to Marcus Rashford.
When asked about his discussion with a non-celebrating Garnacho, Fernandes stated that the youngster needed to regain his confidence.
‘Garnacho scored a fantastic goal but did not celebrate appropriately because he believes he has lost the trust of some fans,’ Fernandes told the BBC.
Bruno Fernandes alleges he urged Alejandro Garnacho to celebrate the goal against Leicester.
Garnacho scored United’s third goal against Leicester at Old Trafford on Sunday.
A dejected Garnacho apparently refused to celebrate the score in the 82nd minute.

Fernandes recently discussed how he called Ten Hag up to apologize for not being at his best.
His goal on Sunday made it four in a row for Van Nistelrooy, and he’s heating up just as Ruben Amorim arrives on Monday.
‘It was a long time that I wasn’t scoring, and suddenly goals are coming in the last few games,’ Fernandes said, later joking that Fantasy Football managers will be disappointed that his second goal was finally awarded as an own goal by Viktor Kristiansen.
‘Another blank slate was required for us to restore the fortress we had here. We need to keep doing it and improve.
