Gabriel has been promoted to train with Manchester United’s Under-18s due to his talent.

Last season, he played regularly for the Red Devils’ Under-16s despite being only 13 years old.

JJ Gabriel, not yet 14, scored a hat-trick and provided an assist in 45 minutes for the U16s against Newcastle.

In the summer, he won the Most Valuable Player award at a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong after scoring two goals and assisting on two more.

JJ Gabriel, a Manchester United academy player, met Lamine Yamal yesterday following a tour of Barcelona’s grounds.

Dimitar Berbatov, United’s hero, presented him with his award.

According to the Mail, “Kid Messi” has blown “coaches away” with his abilities.

He will not play for the Under-18s, but training with older players should “help his development and give him a new challenge”.
