MAN United football ace Harry Maguire has received a £1,000 charge for speeding in his flashy Land Rover.

Maguire was fined a four-figure sum for travelling only 8mph over the limit (seen in 2023).

Maguire was driving his black Land Rover when he triggered the monitor near his hometown of Sheffield shortly before 2 p.m. on March 7.

Two days later, he was absent from Manchester United’s match against Everton at Old Trafford for undisclosed reasons.

The Three Lions ace accepted the charge via post and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.

His case was heard on Monday at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court, where JPs fined him £670 and added three points to his driver’s license.

Maguire did not have to go to court to hear the verdict in person.

The former United captain, who reputedly earns £190,000 per week, was also forced to pay a £268 victim surcharge and £90 in court costs, for a total of £1,028.

According to police statistics, the same speed camera on the Stocksbridge bypass stops approximately 130 motorists each year.

The important artery connecting West Yorkshire to the M1 is set at the national speed limit of 60 mph for single-carriageway roads.

The court run-in is the latest in a string of driving mishaps for Manchester United stars.

Marcus Rashford, Maguire’s friend, is now banned from driving after exceeding the speed limit on the M60 at 104mph.

The forward was stopped by an undercover cop car and stated he merely sped up because he was afraid of being pursued.

Last year, Rashford, 26, collided with a grandma in his £700,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan as he left Manchester United’s Carrington training base.

Fortunately, both drivers escaped unharmed.

Fellow England star Jack Grealish, who plays for Manchester City, was fined £666 earlier this year for speeding at 44 in a 30 mph zone.

Harry Maguire and Manchester United were sought for comment.
