Erling Haaland scored his 100th goal for Manchester City on Sunday, opening the scoring against Arsenal in the ninth minute.
This was only Haaland’s 105th game for City, after joining from Borussia Dortmund in June 2022.
Haaland is now the joint-fastest player to score 100 goals for a European club, following Cristiano Ronaldo, who did so on his 105th game for Real Madrid in 2011.
Ronaldo retired from Real Madrid in 2018 with 450 goals in 428 games, a club record. He also scored triple figures for Manchester United and Juventus.
Seventy-three of Haaland’s first 100 City goals came in the Premier League. He has 18 Champions League goals for Manchester, as well as nine domestic cup goals.

City also issued a club statement five minutes following Haaland’s historic goal against Arsenal.
According to the announcement, the 24-year-old is now the 19th player to score at least 100 goals for City’s men’s team.
It ended with the message, “Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Erling on this latest milestone in his incredible City career!”
City’s celebrations had subsided slightly by halftime on Sunday, as Arsenal scored to go ahead 2-1.

Riccardo Calafiori levelled with a magnificent solo strike in the 22nd minute, scoring his first Premier League goal, before fellow defender Gabriel sealed the comeback.
However, City received a boost eight minutes into first-half stoppage time when Leandro Trossard was sent off by referee Michael Oliver.
Trossard received a second yellow card for potentially delaying the restart by kicking the ball away after fouling Bernardo Silva.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Arsenal maintained the lead until the 98th minute, when John Stones equalised for 2-2 and secured a thrilling draw.
