Man United star Bruno Fernandes loads the boot of a £200,000 Bentley with shopping bags following a trip to Sainsbury’s

BRUNO FERNANDES is back in Cheshire after representing Portugal in the Nations League.

The Manchester United captain represented Portugal twice, against Croatia and Scotland, and scored an equaliser against the latter.

His pot-shot from outside the area snuck past keeper Angus Gunn before former Red Devils talisman Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner.

Fernandes, 30, helped Portugal win both matches to top their Nations League group, but he is now focussing on club football.

He has returned to Cheshire and visited Sainsbury’s, where he loaded goods and water into the boot of his £200,000 Bentley.

Fernandes has an impressive automobile collection that includes an £85,000 BMW X5, a £64,000 Audi Q7, and even a Mini Cooper.

But his fast Porsche Panamera Turbo S, which costs roughly £150,000, outperforms them all.

And he may add to his collection after becoming United’s joint-highest paid player this summer, signing a new contract for £350,000 per week.

Fernandes expressed his delight at joining the club after signing a contract, but said the Red Devils are a long way from being title challengers.

He said after the 3-0 loss to Liverpool: “Yes, I am well aware that Manchester United is not ready to win the Premier League.

“We are, in fact, fighting for the title with the concrete and real goal of finishing in the top four, which will give us access to the Champions League.”

“But there is still a lot to improve for the greater objective, and for my dream, which is to one day win this championship.”
