Leny Yoro’s life at Manchester United has not gone as planned since his summer transfer from LOSC Lille.

A agreement was reached between the two teams, with United paying £52 million to transfer the 18-year-old to Old Trafford for five years, until 2029.

However, just 35 minutes into his second game in a Red Devils shirt, the centre-back was forced to leave due to injury. The match was the pre-season tour opener against Arsenal in Los Angeles, with Rasmus Hojlund also injured and United eventually losing 2-1.

The injury in question was reported as a non-contact ankle ailment, and a physio assisted the defender off the pitch. Later, this was revealed to be a metatarsal injury, with Yoro initially not anticipated to return until late October, which became New Year after more tests were conducted when the squad returned to Carrington.

However, a new video has surfaced, which may give United fans some optimism. The video in question, uploaded by Instagram user Mufcmax, shows Yoro driving a can and being stopped by a little fan.

The fact that Yoro is now driving indicates that he is no longer on crutches and is considered safe to drive, with the caption alluding to the man’s own statements.

We don’t know when the centre-back will return to the pitch, but with Matthijs de Ligt now in the starting lineup, Yoro will have to work hard to win his spot in the squad.
