Alejandro Garnacho, the 18-year-old forward for Manchester United, was seen out and about in Cheshire on Saturday. Garnacho, who has been sidelined with an injury since the 0-0 draw against Southampton on March 12, was previously seen leaving Old Trafford on crutches following the match. He continued to use crutches for support six days later.
However, recent sightings show Garnacho walking without crutches outside Cibo Restaurant in Hale Village on Saturday afternoon. Additionally, he was reported to have resumed his football training last Monday, putting his boots back on as part of his recovery process.
There is growing optimism that Garnacho may return to action before the end of the season. Although the exact date of his return remains uncertain, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has indicated that he expects Garnacho to rejoin the squad for the “final stages” of the campaign. On April 7, Ten Hag mentioned, “We have a plan in mind, but I don’t want to impose too much pressure on the medical team or Garnacho by setting a specific return date. He will definitely be back before the season ends.”
With Manchester United still having eight Premier League matches remaining, plus an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton and potentially the final if they advance, Garnacho’s return could be pivotal. This season, the young talent has made 29 appearances for United, scoring four goals and providing five assists. His return could be a significant boost as United approaches the season’s critical juncture.
