Displayed his trademark reliability with crucial saves, including a notable stop from a close-range header shortly after halftime. His commanding presence and adept footwork, coupled with precise passing under pressure, were on full display, and he looked sharp in his new goalkeeper kit.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7/10

Still finding his rhythm, he showed some promising attacking moments, including a shot that was deflected and several effective link-ups with Mo Salah. Subbed out after Liverpool’s second goal, possibly to manage his fitness.

Ibrahima Konate – 8/10
Returned to the lineup with a strong performance, nearly scoring with a header cleared off the line. Defensively, he was solid, winning key duels and providing cover for Alexander-Arnold. His second-half push contributed to Liverpool’s dominance and he kept Bryan Mbeumo in check.

Virgil van Dijk – 7/10
Not at his most commanding in the first half, losing a challenge to Yoane Wissa and struggling with some aerial duels. However, he was a rock in the box, and his second-half performance was more assured, dealing efficiently with occasional counters. Another clean sheet to his name.

Andy Robertson – 7/10
Nearly scored from a near-post effort in the first half but had a few passes go awry, disrupting potential attacks. Defensively, he had little to do, spending most of his time high up the pitch. Might have added another goal from a Diogo Jota cross.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10
Showed his usual determination with strong tackles and a willingness to track back, though he’s not yet a natural fit as a defensive midfielder. Had a few moments of being bypassed and was booked for a mistimed tackle.

Alexis Mac Allister – 7/10

Appeared the sharpest of Liverpool’s midfielders, making clever passes in and around the box. Contributed to the second goal and almost had an early assist of the season.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 7/10
Delivered a performance with highs and lows, making some good runs and showing promise, but also had moments of poor decision-making in passing. Contributed to winning back possession for the second goal and was booked for a misjudged tackle.

Mohamed Salah – 8/10 – Man of the MatchLiverpool 2-0 Brentford: Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah score as Reds claim win on Arne Slot's first Anfield game - TNT Sports
Consistently dangerous and intent on making an impact, though he faced numerous blocks and tight marking initially. Key to the best attacking move of the match with a series of quick passes and finally scored his second goal of the season. He now surpasses Robbie Fowler in Anfield goals.

Luis Diaz – 8/10

Took his first opportunity superbly to open the scoring and continued to be a constant threat. Created further chances and assisted Salah’s goal. Had a shot tipped past the post and set up Jota for a significant chance.

Diogo Jota – 7/10
Displayed sharp passing, including the assist for Diaz’s goal. While he didn’t get clear chances in the first half, he nearly assisted Robertson with an overhead kick and should have scored but was well-blocked.

Cody Gakpo (on for Diaz, 72’) – 7/10
Made an impact with a deflected long-range shot that rattled the bar.

Darwin Nunez (on for Jota, 72’) – 6/10
Made his league debut with limited involvement. Had one shot that went wide and was caught offside.

Conor Bradley (on for Alexander-Arnold, 72’) – 6/10
Had a few forward runs and was involved in a challenge and a foul.

Harvey Elliott (on for Salah, 80’) – N/A
Came on late, delivering a few crosses from the right wing.

Wataru Endo (on for Gravenberch, 90’) – N/A
Had a brief cameo in injury time for his first appearance.
