GET BACK KING Four years after suffering a head stabbing, a former Liverpool player is back playing professionally.

Wisdom, who launched his career at Liverpool, made 22 appearances for the club and shared the pitch with legends such as Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, and Luis Suarez. In 2020, Wisdom’s career was derailed when he was violently attacked by masked assailants in Liverpool, who stole his watch and inflicted stab wounds to his head and buttocks. After a period of being without a club, Wisdom joined non-league Warrington Town for the previous season. His new contract with Derry City marks a significant step forward.
