Manchester United is allegedly interested in signing Ben Chilwell.

The Chelsea full-back was informed this week that he is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.

According to talkSPORT, United have been offered the opportunity to sign the 27-year-old.

The Red Devils were linked with a deal for Chilwell earlier this summer due to their chronic left-back issues.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are both now injured, forcing Erik ten Hag to start Diogo Dalot on the left side of his defence against Fulham on Friday.

Chelsea are said to be open to accepting a suitable offer for Chilwell.

The player himself is thought to be considering his transfer options after being left out of the squad for the season opener.

Marc Cucurella was given the nod instead for Sunday’s loss to Manchester City after Maresca stated that Chilwell does not fit into his style of play.

He doubled down in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, providing a scathing report on his team position.

Maresca told reporters, “They are training separately.” As previously said, the situation is obvious, and there has been no update.

“They play for Chelsea until they don’t. However, it is impossible to give each of them a minute.

Chilwell will miss another Conference League game on Thursday when the Blues meet Servette.

The former Leicester City full-back joined Chelsea in 2020 and signed a contract extension in April last year that runs until 2027.

He has nine goals and 12 assists in 106 games for the club during his stint in West London.

However, knee and hamstring issues limited Chilwell to only 13 league games last season.
