HARRY GILMORE: Harry Maguire relaxes with a round of golf and rides a Ferrari buggy after Man United’s opening day win vs Fulham

HARRY MAGUIRE went golfing after Manchester United defeated Fulham 1-0 to start their Premier League season.

The England defender drove around the Cheshire course in a FERRARI golf buggy.

Maguire looked on as he watched to see if his putt was successful. A golf cart with the number 7Maguire, 31, led Erik ten Hag’s team to a 1-0 victory over the Cottagers at Old Trafford on Friday night. He was also seen driving a sleek Ferrari buggy.

On Monday, he had some free time and went golfing.

Maguire was seen smacking the ball with his driver while enjoying his shot.

In another photo, he was cautiously eyeing the ball after a putt on the green.

The ex-Leicester man was also spotted driving a Ferrari golf buggy.

SunSport believes similar Ferrari buggies are worth around £18,000.

Maguire is eager to perform at Manchester United this season after missing out on England’s Euros campaign due to injury.

This summer, Ten Hag expanded his team by adding centre-backs Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt.

However, with Yoro ill and De Ligt having only recently arrived at Old Trafford, Maguire joined Lisandro Martinez to keep a clean sheet against Fulham.

After the game, he told the club website, “I feel good and fit. I’m in good physical and mental shape, and I’m excited about the upcoming season.

There are so many games this season. I’m sure there will be a lot of adjustments from game to game in the starting lineup.”

He went on to say, “I don’t think we want to set any targets, but I think this club deserves trophies.

“So, of course, we want to win another trophy, and in the Premier League, we know there are significant improvements that we need to make from our performance last season.

“We obviously want to be in the Champions League. We lost out this season because we were not good enough in the league.

“For sure, we’ve got to improve on last season and let’s see where it goes and takes us.”
