Fulham are interested in signing Manchester United’s Scott McTominay and have filed a second proposal for the Scottish midfielder.
What happened?
Last month, Manchester United pushed back Fulham’s preliminary bid for McTominay because they felt the offered transfer money was far too low. According to The Guardian, Fulham have filed a new proposal of £20 million ($25.5 million) as they attempt to add another player, with Emile Smith-Rowe reportedly close to leaving Arsenal.
According to the report, the second bid is still well below Manchester United’s valuation of the 27-year-old. The Red Devils expect a price of £25-£30 million ($32-38.3) for the midfielder, who is also being pursued by Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahce for a summer move.
Did you know?
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has expressed his desire to keep McTominay with the club for another season, but he realises that after spending a lot of money on acquisitions this summer, the club will need to sell to complete their roster revamp. As a result, they might accept a lower bid than their asking price.
What’s next for MCTOMINAY?
The Scottish midfielder is currently on the Red Devils’ US tour and will most likely play their final friendly against Liverpool on August 4 before returning to the United Kingdom.
