The Manchester United legend appeared with Tim Burgess.

Neville, 49, appeared to have a fantastic time on stage.

This week’s Kendal Calling lineup includes Noel Gallager’s High Flying Birds, The Streets, Paolo Nutini, and Sugababes.

Neville, a former Manchester United full-back, is among the music icons.

The Old Trafford icon grew accustomed to performing in front of almost 70,000 people every other week at the Theatre of Dreams.

However, in a packed tent earlier today, he confronted a far more intimidating challenge.

As The Courteeners’ “Not Nineteen Forever” played, Neville could be seen hurling a beach ball into the packed audience.

He also looked to jig on the spot, clearly enjoying the event.

Earlier this year, Neville acknowledged that he had never DJ’d before.

He told Geoff Shreeves on his former Sky colleague’s podcast Football, Music, and Me: “When I finished my football career, I did a lot of things to go out of my comfort zone.

Neville drank up the great experience.

“I’m DJing with Tim at Kendal Calling. What the heck am I doing?

“I’m trying to wangle my way out of it, but I can’t once I’ve said yes to something.”

When asked if he had done anything similar in the past, he said, “Never in my life!”

Burgess put his mate at ease earlier this year, saying, “I’m very excited about the prospect of DJing with Gary – he’s got great taste in music.”

“The last time we were on stage together, he joined The Charlatans on guitar.

“Can’t promise we’ll be doing any songs together but there might be an impromptu singalong at some point.”

Neville shared the event with his pal Burgess.
