Manchester United is interested in Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries and has revisited a planned deal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but talks have not progressed.
Erik ten Hag’s team is stepping up their efforts to improve their full-back options during the summer transfer window, citing concerns over Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw’s health.
Wan-Bissaka, whose contract expires in 2025, is now the lone senior full-back on their pre-season tour of the United States.
Dumfries played an important role in the Netherlands’ Euro 2024 campaign, starting all but one game on their way to the semi-finals and being able to play as a right defender or right wing back.
His contract with Inter Milan is also set to expire in 2025, and the Red Devils have been fans of the 28-year-old for years.

Last season, the Dutch defender made 36 appearances across all competitions for Inter, scoring four times in the Italian top division as the club won Serie A.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined the Red Devils from Crystal Palace for £50 million in 2019, made 22 appearances for United in the 2023-24 season and has been linked with a move elsewhere.
Viktor Lindelof, who played full-back at times during United’s defensive crisis last season, also has one year left on his contract.
