RASSHIRT Joshua Zirkzee’s future is hinted at by Rasmus Hojlund’s new Manchester United shirt number.

Rasmus Hojlund has been granted a fresh Manchester United jersey number for the upcoming season, hinting at the number Joshua Zirkzee might wear. United confirmed on social media that Hojlund will sport a new squad number in the upcoming campaign.Preview

The Danish striker was unveiled as the club’s new No. 9 with the declaration: “Ready to lead the line.” United also shared a joyful photo of Hojlund holding up his new shirt, accompanied by the caption: “Let’s cook.”

Hojlund, who scored 16 goals and provided two assists in 43 games during his debut season in England, has also been included in Erik ten Hag’s 29-man squad for their USA tour.

Meanwhile, new signing Zirkzee is poised to take over the No. 11 shirt from Hojlund. The Dutch forward recently completed a £36.5 million move from Bologna. Zirkzee wore No. 11 during his first season with Bologna before switching to No. 9.
