Manchester United fans seized the opportunity to mock Phil Foden following Alejandro Garnacho’s 007 Instagram post.

Garnacho uploaded a photo of the family aboard a yacht with James Bond’s 007 emblem while on vacation in Mykonos, Greece, with girlfriend Eva Garcia and infant son Enzo. United fans instantly realized the numbers mirrored Foden’s Euros stats – zero goals and zero assists in seven games – and began teasing the Manchester City striker.

The short of it is that in seven appearances for England throughout the tournament, Foden scored zero goals and provided zero assists. Despite initially being Gareth Southgate’s favored outlet on the left, he later formed a double-pronged number 10 combo with Jude Bellingham.

Both players will be among the last to report to their respective teams for preseason. Garnacho was a member of the Argentina squad that won the Copa America on the same day, July 14, that Foden represented England in the Euro 2024 final. United and City will play off in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on August 10, their first curtain raiser since 2011.
