Man City manager Guardiola departed the restaurant by bike after his meeting with Walker.

Walker’s current contract with City is up for renewal, and Pep has stated that he aims to keep the right-back with the club for the remainder of the current season.

Hours before their dinner, Pep said of Walker and team-mate Bernardo Silva: “They are so important to us.

“We want them and will do everything.

“Replacing these two would be so difficult.”

The two hugged as they left, and Pep sped away on his £5,000 Pinarello racing bike, which had been guarded by a waiter.
