Kylian Mbappe was unveiled in front of 80,000 Real Madrid fans and 15 Champions League trophies at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
The French superstar smiled as he spoke about joining the ‘club of his dreams’ following a performance by Andrea Bocelli, a lengthy montage of his highlights, and a speech from club president Florentino Perez.
Mbappe, 25, will wear the number nine shirt after completing his deal from Paris Saint-Germain, bringing an end to one of football’s most lengthy transfer sagas.
The attacker was serenaded as the Bernabeu blared their legendary Hala Madrid hymn and strolled in front of fans, booting footballs into the cheering crowd. He kissed the badge, as Cristiano Ronaldo did at his unveiling.
His mother burst into tears as he appeared, speaking of his pleasure in joining the ‘greatest club in the history of world football’.

Los Blancos fans have been waiting years for Mbappe to sign with them, and he aspires to win Europe’s top title.
Los Blancos just confirmed that he will wear the number nine shirt in his first season at the club, which was left vacant by Karim Benzema after the 2022-23 season.
Mbappe wore No. 7 throughout the most of his Paris Saint-Germain career, but the shirt is now owned by Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Mbappe was France’s number ten at Euro 2024, a position previously held by Luka Modric at the Bernabeu since 2017.
