Argentina has won the Copa América again, defeating Colombia 1-0 on Monday.
Argentina wins its 16th Copa América final, breaking a tie with Uruguay for the most all-time titles.
The initial 90 minutes plus four minutes of stoppage time were insufficient to resolve an entertaining Copa América final, as the two teams headed into extra time deadlocked. Argentina took the lead in the 111th minute with a goal by Lautaro Martínez, his fifth of the tournament.

Martínez’s goal proved pivotal, leaving Colombia unable to answer in the last minutes.
Argentina’s victory was bittersweet because it had to play the majority of the match without Lionel Messi, the country’s hero for the past two decades. Messi sustained an injury in the 64th minute and had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines.
Even without the star, Argentina managed to win what could be Messi’s final Copa América game.
Fans praised Martínez and Argentina for overcoming tiredness to win their second consecutive Copa América final.
