LeBron James and Stephen Curry gave fans their first look at Team USA’s Olympic jerseys.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors stars posed in the red, white, and blue uniforms that the United States will wear as they compete for a gold medal in Paris later this month.
This summer, James will compete in his fourth Olympics, tying him for the most in NBA history. He originally competed in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, when Team USA finished third, but he led the 2008 “Redeem Team” to gold in Beijing. He last competed for Team USA at the 2012 Olympics in London, when the team won gold.
James did not compete in the previous two Olympics, but he returns this year determined to win another gold medal among a star-studded lineup.
Curry has a distinguished career, but this will be his first appearance for Team USA in the Olympics. He was scheduled to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio but had to withdraw due to injuries.
Team USA, led by head coach Steve Kerr, features veterans like as James, Curry, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard, as well as some rising prospects such as Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton.
With some of the most well-known NBA players participating for Team USA, this year’s squad will face high expectations.
On July 28, Team USA will face a Serbian team led by Nikola Jokić and begin their quest for gold.
