Thirdy Ravena, a free agent, has been training overseas with Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors

On Thursday, June 13, free agent Thirdy Ravena posted a photo of himself with Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson on social media. 

Ravena, who left the San-en Neophoenix after four years to become a free agent, is in the United States to practice and maintain top basketball fitness. 

“Got to play with @klaythompson today,” Ravena said in her post.

Thompson, a four-time NBA champion, is coming off a disappointing season in which the Warriors missed the playoffs after falling to the Sacramento Kings in the Play-In tournament. Image

This season, the 34-year-old sharpshooter, one-half of the Splash Brothers, averaged 17.9 points while shooting 43 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the arc. Image

In Year 4 of the Japan B League, Ravena averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 52.2 percent in 57 games. Image

The former Ateneo Blue Eagle helped NeoPhoenix finish first in the Central Division and second in the Playoffs, before falling to eventual champions Hiroshima Dragonflies in the quarterfinals.
