The Golden State Warriors have released a new secondary logo and Statement Edition uniform ahead of the 2024-25 season, the team revealed today. The new design, created in conjunction with Silverstein Goodby & Partners Design, depicts a W that resembles a basketball net after a ball has passed through. The secondary logo will be prominently shown on the Warriors’ Statement Edition jersey, as well as on the belt buckles of the Association and Icon uniforms.
Golden State’s new Statement Edition suit is a dramatic black and grey colorway with undertones of the Warriors’ blue and gold. The Bay Bridge is portrayed on the uniform as a sloping cable that connects the jersey to the shorts, with textural features resembling the inner wires of the cables that sustain the bridge. The shorts prominently display the team’s freshly released secondary logo.
“We have the ability to redesign our Statement Edition uniform every three years, and we wanted to take full advantage of this unique opportunity,” said Warriors Senior Vice President of Marketing Amanda Chin. “Aligning the launch of our new secondary logo with our 2024-25 Statement Edition uniform allowed us to highlight a new part of our core identity in a bold and exciting way.”
The Statement Edition Collection, designed by Benny Gold, includes a limited-edition t-shirt and pullover, which are currently available. Warriors Shop sells merchandise in-store, as well as online at shop.warriors.com.
“The Warriors are widely considered to have the greatest shooting backcourt in the game’s history,” said Gold, who created the SG&P Design logo. “The new logo depicts the team’s famed style of play by merging a ‘W’ for Warriors with a net for 3-point shooting. The monogram is intended to imitate a basketball net and rim, with the tiny arch in the ‘W’ creating the illusion of a ball dropping through the net.”
All Warriors practice and game jerseys, including the 2024-25 Statement Edition uniform, will retain the Rakuten badge in the upper left corner.
The Warriors will reveal their new City Edition and Classic Edition uniforms for the next season at a later date.
