Thirdy Ravena, a free agent, uploaded a photo with Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson on Thursday, June 13, via social media.
Ravena, who departed the San-en Neophoenix after four years to become a free agent, is in the United States to practice and stay in peak basketball condition.
“Got to play with @klaythompson today,” Ravena said in the post.
Thompson, a four-time NBA champion, is coming off a difficult season in which the Warriors failed to make the playoffs after losing to the Sacramento Kings in the Play-In tournament.
This season, the 34-year-old sharpshooter, one half of the Splash Brothers, averaged 17.9 points on 43 percent field goal shooting and 38 percent from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, in Year 4 of the Japan B League, Ravena averaged 12.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 52.2 percent in 57 games.
The former Ateneo Blue Eagle helped NeoPhoenix finish first in the Central Division and earn the second spot in the Playoffs before losing to eventual champions Hiroshima Dragonflies in the quarterfinals.
