Harry Maguire has decided not to take a summer vacation this year in order to prepare for Euro 2024.
The centre-back, who was born in 1993, has not played for Manchester United since the 1-1 draw against Burnley on April 27 owing to a muscle ailment.
He missed the FA Cup final’s 2-1 triumph over Manchester City, but he hopes to be at his best for England’s first Euro 2024 match against Serbia on June 16 in Gelsenkirchen.
The former Leicester City player is always Gareth Southgate’s first choice in defence. Maguire, along with John Stones, was named to the preliminary 33-player roster.

“Maguire is a fantastic player in one of the most successful Three Lions teams that England has ever produced,” the 53-year-old coach said.
“Should we let him take those insults? This is a joke. This gets me mad. Fortunately, Maguire still has support in the locker room.”
