Last Saturday, United stunned football fans all over the world by defeating Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley, ruining their dreams of a domestic double.
Kobbie Maino lavishly celebrated Manchester United’s FA Cup victory.
The young midfield player requested a bucket hat from a spectator to wear.
The Red Devils fan dutifully obliged, tossing Mainoo the stylish cap.
In the 39th minute, Mainoo gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead with a tidy finish after Bruno Fernandes’ incredible no-look assist.
After the final whistle, the teenager went over to celebrate with the travelling Old Trafford throng, looking as proud as punch.
After asking to borrow one of the fans’ bucket hats, Mainoo ended up wearing it for most of the festivities.
And the Red Devils supporter had no problem handing over his sunglasses to United’s rising midfield talent.
After witnessing the touching scene on television, a United supporter remarked, “That bucket hat is iconic now.”
“Excellent rapport with the fans,” stated another.
“The cap fits perfectly in there,” observed another.
“He’s loved by the fans,” said one. You enjoy seeing it.
Someone else added, “That’s wholesome as well!”
Excited United supporters now hold even higher expectations for Mainoo as a result of his heroics in the cup final.
However, manager Erik ten Hag stated following the game: “I think we have to keep it calm.”
“It is very common in England to hold managers and players to extremely high standards, only to severely punish them following a poor performance or two.
“I believe that we must maintain extreme calm.
“He was [exceptional].” I had a great time seeing Kobbie at his age.
But he also serves as an illustration of issues.
