Manchester United flop Antony gets a massive tattoo of HIMSELF rejoicing on his back, but fans are outraged

FANS have criticized Antony for getting a large tattoo of himself celebrating scoring for Ajax on his back.

Tattoo artist Bruno Lopes posted an Instagram photo of the 24-year-old Brazilian winger obtaining the tattoo.

Antony appears to have scored another own goal among Manchester United fans.

Images of the Brazilian obtaining a new tattoo were uploaded on Instagram.

He has a large image of himself celebrating an Ajax goal engraved on his back.

Antony had a season to forget with the Red Devils.

The photograph shows him celebrating after scoring a late winner against Feyenoord in the Eredivisie in 2022.

That goal helped Ajax, led by Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag, win the title by two points.

Antony arrived at Old Trafford for £85.5 million from Ajax two summers ago, when Ten Hag joined.

But despite a promising start, off-field issues hampered his progress this season.

He hasn’t shone since, scoring only three goals in 38 games, one of which came in the Premier League, and adding just one assist.

He was seen throwing tantrums against Liverpool, and he sulked again after being shifted to left-back in the loss against Arsenal.

Antony was also chastised for abusing Coventry’s players after United defeated them on penalties to reach the FA Cup Final, where they will face Manchester City on May 25.

The Red Devils have had a dreadful season overall, sitting in eighth place and on course for their lowest Premier League result.

They are currently in severe danger of missing out on European football entirely, having lost 19 games across all competitions, the highest since the 1978/79 season.

United meet Newcastle tonight at Old Trafford, hoping to prevent a record eleventh home defeat of the season.

After photographs of Antony getting his tattoo leaked on Instagram, disgruntled followers jumped in two feet first in the comments section.

“More tattoos than good games,” one fan commented on the photographs on social media.

Another commented, “More tattoos than career goals.”

A fifth user said, “He should focus on football instead @antony00 you can’t even pass a ball…” But your ego is astonishing.

Antony has a lion and a clock face on one of his arms.

His neck tattoo says ‘illuminate’ or ‘illuminated’ in English.

He has already shown off a few of his tattoos.

Another joked, using laughing emojis: “Who has their own face tattooed on themselves?”

One of the most critical comments read: “No enthusiasm for football at all; would rather draw tattoos than play football and concentrate on your forthcoming games.

“I can’t believe Manchester United have players like this, this is the height of it all.”

Lopes’ inkwork covers the full back of the attacker, with the tattoos paying homage to his upbringing in Brazil’s impoverished favelas.

In a reference to this, the tattoo depicts him celebrating his Ajax goal while looking out over a location resembling his old home.
