According to TBR Football, Liverpool is reportedly planning to replace Mohamed Salah with Barcelona winger Raphinha. Salah is rumored to potentially leave Liverpool in the summer of 2024, with a possible move to Saudi Arabia, which would not only fetch a significant transfer fee for Liverpool but also offer Salah a lucrative salary, potentially the highest in the league.
Liverpool is already making plans to find a replacement for Salah. According to TBR Football, they are eyeing Raphinha from Barcelona. In the current season, Raphinha has made 35 appearances for Barcelona and directly contributed to 21 goals (9 goals and 12 assists). Under Xavi, Barcelona has several good options on the wing, so they are willing to sell the Brazilian player in order to have funds to strengthen other positions. Barcelona reportedly wants £50 million for their star player.
Apart from Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle are also interested in the former Leeds player. Raphinha has proven his value in the Premier League during his time at Leeds United and was regarded as one of the best wingers in the English top-flight.
Parting ways with the Brazilian player would give Barcelona more opportunities to develop Lamine Yamal, a highly-rated player with great potential. As for Raphinha, he could become a key player for Liverpool if he agrees to return to England.
