Currently experiencing a goal drought after a strong start to the season, Nunez hopes for a change of luck over the festive period. He has scored seven goals for Liverpool this season but has not found the net in the last ten matches since a Carabao Cup game against Bournemouth on November

Despite his lack of goals, Jurgen Klopp’s assistant, Pep Lijnders, defended Nunez, emphasizing his desire and contribution to the team. Lijnders highlighted the connection between Nunez and Mohamed Salah and praised Nunez for having a better season compared to the previous year.
