Marcus Rashford’s unconventional celebration this season has set a trend. After 29 goals (so far), the Englishman has devised a new style to celebrate them, appearing to send a bold message to his detractors while also inspiring the young players.

The Manchester United attacker frequently points to his brain, as if to emphasize his attitude as a top player. The Englishman hasn’t revealed why his new celebration is so popular in football.

This season, many athletes have demonstrated their admiration for Rashford by imitating his goal celebration. This includes Jadon Sancho, his good friend and Manchester United teammate, who enjoys celebrating and has even done it after scoring a couple goals this season.

The most recent footballer to attempt this cold celebration is Kylian Mbappe’s brother, Ethan Mbappe, who also plays for Paris Saint-Germain. The 16-year-old midfielder has played for PSG’s U-19 team and regularly trains with the senior squad with his brother. Ethan, unlike his brother, is a left-footed midfielder who enjoys keeping things under control. He does, however, demonstrate the ability to make forward runs and score goals. In a recent friendly match, the Frenchman scored an amazing goal for PSG U19 and chose to imitate the Rashford celebration.

The 16-year-old appears to be a big fan of Rashford, who has impressed for United across all competitions this season. He has, of course, pumped up the Red Devils’ fans, who believe Rashford has the power to bring Mbappe and his brother to Old Trafford.

The Ruben Neves similarities are also being mocked by United fans, who see the celebration as the Portuguese midfielder’s defining gesture. Although it has not been verified, based on how frequently Rashford has performed the dance this season, it is plausible to infer that the Englishman acted as an inspiration for everyone else performing the dance these days. Accusations that Rashford is taking someone else’s celebration will not deter him because he frequently celebrates goals, which contributes to his distinct personality in the football community.
