Stephen Curry, an All-Star in the National Basketball Association (NBA), completed his second trip to the Philippines in September and indicated his desire to return.

Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors’ two-time MVP, visited the country from September 6-8 to kick off his Under Armour Asian Tour. Curry’s first trip to the Philippines was chosen because, as Under Amour remarked, “basketball is a way of life in the Philippines.”

The Warriors point guard stated, “Coming out of the airport seeing like 250 fans trying to get a picture and something like that is the part that I still want to enjoy,” after being greeted by local supporters at the airport.

During a news conference at BGC, Curry attributed his desire to return to the Philippines to the encouragement and warm response he has received from Filipino supporters.

Curry enjoyed a tour of Manila in a famous Filipino jeepney, a common experience for celebrities visiting the Philippines, including the Pope, Coldplay, and the Riverdale cast.

Curry was also given the opportunity to try the Filipino “halo-halo” dessert, which is made of shaved ice, yam, and fruits and has even Anthony Bourdain raving about its taste. This is one of the must-do activities for travelers to the Philippines.

Curry and his father, Dell Curry, won the Under Armour Southeast Asia 3×3 competition at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Curry’s last act in the Philippines was to lead the student-athletes in their promise of sportsmanship during the 81st University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season.
