Manchester United is set to triple the salary of their prodigy Kobbie Mainoo, as they prepare for a campaign to make him the face of the club if Mainoo agrees.

Manchester United’s leadership has invited Kobbie Mainoo to sign a new contract with a lucrative salary and bonuses following his impressive performances in midfield for the Red Devils this season. At the age of 18, Mainoo has emerged as a key player in MU’s midfield during the latter half of the 2023/24 season.

Romano tweeted, “MU is pushing negotiations to extend Kobbie Mainoo’s contract. Talks started in February, and they hope to finalize everything this summer. Ineos wants to turn Mainoo into the face of their new project at the club. The agreement will include a salary raise and additional benefits.”

Mainoo has made 27 appearances for the Red Devils this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. His outstanding performances have earned him a call-up to the England national team. Ineos aims to continue the club’s tradition of providing opportunities for young talents to develop through the academy. In addition to Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Willy Kambwala are two other names that have regularly featured in MU’s first team this season.
