Steph Curry displays support for godsister Cameron Brink before the 2024 WNBA draft

Steph Curry is pumping up Cameron Brink fans ahead of the 2024 WNBA draft. As the Golden State Warriors superstar prepares for a play-in tournament game against the Sacramento Kings, he expressed his support for his goddaughter. “Chef Curry,” who has been supporting the Stanford star for years, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm for her.

Curry disclosed at a press conference in 2021 that Brink’s parents are his godparents. His mother and her mother were housemates at Virginia Tech. Curry’s father, Dell Curry, a former NBA player, played college basketball with Brink’s father.

Steph Curry can't wait for Cameron Brink's name to be called in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Steph Curry’s admiration for Cameron Brink was evident when he posted a tale on Instagram. He declared that she should be at least a top two choice in the draft. With Iowa phenom Caitlin Clark likely to go first, Brink might come in behind her.

Curry agreed with Brink when she said she provides diversity to her game. The Warriors franchise cornerstone also stated that he knew his photo with Brink would come out at some point during the interview.

Steph Curry has publicly advertised Cameron Brink’s inevitable pro future before, and Monday was no exception. Curry congratulated the Stanford standout just a few days after she announced her draft intentions.

“Hi Cam, just wanted to say congratulations. This is a significant announcement, milestone, and accomplishment. Take a minute to congratulate yourself on completing the task at hand. The best is yet to come, and I’m excited to watch where your career leads you. “WNBA, let’s league her!”

Most mock drafts see Curry’s goddaughter joining the Los Angeles Sparks and becoming the franchise’s founding star. Scouts have raved about Brink’s ability to protect the rim and her all-around game, which might get her that place.

If the Golden State Warriors make the NBA playoffs, Curry will most likely miss Cameron Brink’s WNBA debut. If the Dubs leave early, he’ll most likely be in Hollywood to see her first professional game against Atlanta.
