The unveiling of a mural honoring Jurgen Klopp in Liverpool has angered some supporters.
The Reds manager announced in January that, following a successful nine years in charge, he will leave the team at the end of the current campaign.
In his most recent piece of art, Klopp is seen smiling. As a result of leading Liverpool to victories in both domestic and European leagues, Klopp has gained notoriety as a club icon.
However, a new mural that features Klopp was unveiled, so even if he leaves Liverpool, people will still remember him.
It features the lоgо оf the brewery and a glass оf Erdinger, a German bееr, and is situated оn the side оf a building оn Slater Street.
Nevertheless, it didn’t seem like a good update to fans on social media; one on X commented, “It’s so annoying that these are all adverts now.”Trent Alexander-Arnold Mural with Fans in Support of Foodbanks Unveiled by TAW
He went on, “Whatever real mural culture there was is getting completely absorbed by the brands.”
“Yeah,” a third person said. Honestly, this is garbage. Why a brand needs to be involved is unclear.
A fourth said, “Not a fan, just looks like a big advert,” referring to the piece of art created by local creator John Culshaw.
Klopp, an Erdinger ambassador since 2019, exclaimed, “Never skim an Erdinger!” in a television commercial.Erdinger and Klopp have been collaborating for more than four years.
Following Liverpool’s Premier League victory in 2020, the brewery released limited-edition cans with his signature and photograph.
Darragh MacAnthony, the owner of Peterborough United, believes Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna to succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager.
With Klopp trying for a triple in his final weeks with the squad, Erdinger may be preparing to try something similar at the end of the season.
Liverpool is presently leading the Premier League, ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, and has previously won the Carabao Cup.
Additionally, they are in the Europa League quarterfinals, and the Reds could be on their way to a historic final season under Klopp.
