The photo of 6’4″ Erling Haaland smiling with an ex-basketball player, who was made to “look like a Borrower,” has shocked football fans.

After Manchester City’s victory over West Ham, Senegalese superstar Mamadou Ndiaye—who was undrafted by the NBA in 2016—met with the team. The 7-foot-6-inch celebrity overshadowed Ederson, Bernardo Silva, and Haaland in an accompanying shot. 

Football fans couldn’t believe it when the photo went viral, wondering how one man could make Haaland look so little. One supporter went so far as to joke that Haaland resembled a Borrower. 

“No way he made Haaland look small,” one fan joked. While a second shared: “Nah, Haaland actually looks like he’s one of the borrowers in this photo!”

“Bernardo Silva looks tiny and Haaland looks far less imposing. Absolutely crazy,” a shocked third said. And another added: “It’s satisfying to see Haaland looking like this…”
