On Tuesday, the Hungarian national football team trounced the visiting Kosovo squad 2-0 in a friendly at the Puskás Arena as they prepare for the summer European Championship.
In the first meeting between the two teams, Dominik Szoboszlai led on a rebounding shot in the 58th minute, and Zsolt Nagy scored in the 86th. Marco Rossi formed a new partnership with Attila Mocsi, who came in as a substitute, and in his 61st match, he passed Kálmán Mészöly for third place on the federation captains list.
The Hungarians have now gone undefeated in 14 games, the longest streak since 1954, when the legendary Golden Team lost the World Cup final in Bern. Puskás failed to find a winner in 18 matches.
The national team will play as a guest of the Irish on June 4 in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium as part of its preparation for the Euro Championship.
