Man Utd joins the race to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo in summer ahead of the arrival of Kylian Mbappe

Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all inquired about the availability of Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

The 23-year-old joined Los Blancos for €40 million in 2019, forming part of a dangerous assault alongside fellow Brazilian Vinicius Jr in the Spanish city.

Last November, the winger signed a new long-term contract that will keep him with the club until 2028. However, the projected arrival of Kylian Mbappe this summer has sparked concerns about his long-term prospects.

Mbappe will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the conclusion of the season and is said to have agreed to join the Spanish giants, albeit no deal has been confirmed.

If the France captain joins Real, he will be joined by another forward, Endrick, a precocious Brazilian prodigy whose future the club has quickly secured.

The scenario has sparked attention from the Premier League in Rodrygo. According to Sport, both Manchester teams, as well as Arsenal and Liverpool, have inquired about Real’s predicament.

However, Real has rebuffed such interest, describing the Brazilian as ‘non-transferable’, with Premier League clubs interested in his talents viewing a move for him as an ‘impossible task’ unless the player himself pushes a move.

Rodrygo’s management is also clear that the player is not considering leaving Madrid and is looking forward to the entrance of compatriots Endrick and Mbappe.
