Liverpool forward Darwin Núñez will not be able to participate in Uruguay’s upcoming international fixtures due to an ιnjury he sustained during the 4-3 FA Cup quarter-final defeat against Manchester United. Manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Núñez suffered a hamstring ιnjury during the match.

Although the initial assessment indicated a potential ιnjury, it appears that Núñez has fortunately avoided a serious setback. However, he will not join his international teammates for the March internationals and will instead remain at Melwood for further recovery and treatment.

Uruguay is scheduled to play matches against the Basque country and the Ivory Coast in the following days. Liverpool fans will be hopeful that Núñez recovers in time for their first game after the international break, which is against Brighton.
