Earlier this month, negotiations began over new terms that would keep the young athlete out of action until June 2030.
According to United insiders, substantial money will begin to flow throughout the new contract. However, the deal to increase his current wage will not be ratified until the end of the season.
Mainoo has recently been promoted to the Red Devils’ adult squad locker room.
Throughout the season, the youthful star continued to shower and evolve with the Under-21s.
A spot became available when well-known players such as Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, and Facundo Pellistri left the squad.
Mainoo made his Manchester United debut against Charlton in a cup match in January of 2023.
He became a starter this season after recovering from an ankle ailment.
