Mason Greenwood provided a rare look into his private life by sharing a photo of his girlfriend on social media.

Greenwood was sold out of Manchester United and loaned to Getafe in the summer after it was mutually agreed that he would not play again at Old Trafford following an internal probe.

This came after criminal charges against him for attempted rape, violence, and coercive control were withdrawn. The 22-year-old disputed all charges. 

Greenwood’s transfer was widely condemned, but he has received strong backing from Getafe and their fans since his arrival.

The attacker, who last appeared for Manchester United in a Premier League match against West Ham on January 22, 2022, has five goals and five assists in 20 La Liga outings.

Mason Greenwood provided a rare look into his private life by uploading a photo of his girlfriend, Harriet Robson, on social media and wishing her a happy birthday.

Greenwood and Robson are presently residing in Spain, with the forward on loan at Getafe.

Greenwood did not post on Instagram from January 2022 to July 2023, but he has shared regular updates after moving to Spain.

On Monday, the forward used his Instagram story to wish his girlfriend, Harriet Robson, a happy birthday. 

He shared a photo of himself posing with Harriet, as well as one of her with his daughter at a Getafe game, with the caption: ‘Happy Birthday to the best mum. ‘Love you.  

A article in The Sun also mentioned how Greenwood and his partner are enjoying their new life in Spain.

According to a source, they have had time and space to enjoy being a young family and are now preparing for the challenge of living in a different nation. 

‘He has had a lot of off-field issues in his brief career, but he finally appears to be addressing them and sorting himself out.

‘He’s made some nice friends among his colleagues, and Harriet has been welcomed by some of the WAGs. They enjoy being able to go out in Madrid without feeling like everyone is watching them.

Greenwood supported these assertions in an interview with Getafe’s club media last month, thanking their supporters and saying: ‘Everything’s fine, I adapted very quickly. My teammates took me under their care, and I’ve been delighted ever since I arrived here, training and playing games.

‘My fans mean a lot to me. The finest experience so far was when I scored my first goal here at the stadium, which meant a lot to me, and I could hear the crowd fairly well.

‘We also had a training day, and a lot of supporters came out to watch, so we always appreciate the fans; they’re like an additional man on the pitch when they’re there to support us.’

Greenwood has five goals and five assists in 20 games for Getafe, who are ranked tenth in La Liga.

Getafe is currently ranked 10th in LaLiga, five points from the European places.

In December, Bordalas hailed Greenwood’s effect since joining the club.

He stated, “I said it from day one, he is a fantastic player who will reach his peak level gradually, (and) we have treated him very well.” 

Greenwood’s contract with United runs until 2025, although he is unlikely to return.
